Meet Our Staff

    The administrative division of the Belmont County Sheriff's Office is made up of the Chief Deputy Administrator, Jail Administrator, Administrative Assistant, Secretary and Administrative Deputies. The administrative division assists the Sheriff in the management of his office and is responsible for the overall day to day operation of all aspects of the Sheriff's Office including recruiting and training of personnel, development and implementation of policy, operational procedures, acquisition and maintenance of equipment, civil and criminal process and fiscal matters.

Allen Porter

    Allen G. Porter serves as the Jail Administrator. In this position he directs, coordinates and supervises the operation of the Jail Division, developing and implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. He formulates the jail facility's operating budget and maintains expenditures within those limits. The Administrator maintains administrative and operational reports, determines security procedures, conducts inspections to ensure security and inmate welfare, and investigates inmate disputes and incidents.
