Special Operations Team

The Special Operation Branch (S.O.B.) is the tactical element of the Belmont County Sheriff's Office which is responsible for high risk warrant executions, hostage rescue situations, dignitary and court protective details, high risk surveillance operations, capture of high risk fugitives and any other incident that poses a substantial threat to the public and officer safety. The members of the Special Operations Branch (S.O.B.) are deputies with special tactical training to insure the safest resolution to any incident. These deputies are trained in numerous areas including; advanced weapons techniques, building search operations, warrant and arrest techniques, hostage negotiations and rescue.
